Case study – Events support:
- Brief
Our client was compelled to close the site of a popular light show situated in a woodland area. The site had already been closed for three nights due to heavy snowfall, which resulted in compaction and the formation of a layer of ice on the footpath. Due to concerns for health and safety, the site could not be opened. - Challenge
Heavy compaction of the snow and the location of site access to the footpath, meant our conventional snow clearance techniques would not be utilised for clearing the ice. The client needed to ensure that this attraction was reopened quickly and safely, so as to continue providing entertainment to their customers during their busiest season. - Solution
FGS Industrial quickly deployed a skilled team to clear the ice from the footpaths. Access was a top priority, to achieve this, FGS supplied several small machines to clear the ice from the footpaths. The team then applied grit and other de-icing materials to ensure safe footing on all footpaths, enabling the site to reopen.
Case study – Wine Garden of England Show 2024:
- Brief
Our client was required to deliver a complex event in the grounds of Chilham Castle showcasing multiple Kent wine suppliers in June 2024. Their objective was to raise awareness of Kent Vineyards and the wine they produce. This ticketed event was targeted at wine enthusiasts and included wine producer tasting tents, food producers and Kentish wine bars. - Challenge
With customer comfort a top priority, the standard of welfare facilities for guests, and water provision for a summer’s day were crucial aspects to deliver the event to a high level. Food waste disposal and site wide recycling were also of great importance to the organisers who wanted to demonstrate their dedication to sustainability. - Solution
FGS Industrial, alongside sister companies Four Jays and Countrystyle Recycling, prioritised the delivery of a suite of services including luxury restrooms, sustainable packaged water, and a comprehensive range of recycling solutions including responsible food waste disposal, to deliver the client’s event objectives. The high-quality and efficient service provided resulted in the seamless and enjoyable experience for the client’s attendees.
